Junior players from the Eltham Basketball Club compete in a
competition conducted by the Eastern Districts Basketball Association - EDJBA.
Other Associations involved in this competition are Balwyn, Banyule,
Bulleen, CLC, Collingwood, Doncaster, Ivanhoe East, Koonung, Marcellin,
Nunawading, Park Orchards, Warrandyte and Whitehorse.
Having such a diverse
range of teams to compete against offers a wide variety of competition for all
levels, and opens the door for constant personal development in the
sport.
There are on average, 100 Eltham boys teams that are involved in
playing on Saturdays, which caters for all grade levels from A to D. These
teams are also the main basis to which our Championship teams are initially
formed.
Teams are structured on age and ability, catering for beginners to
the highly skilled players. The program coordinates to develop children's
skills in a safe and enjoyable environment. There are two seasons in each
year:
Summer Season - October - April….Under 8 - Under 20 Winter Season -
April - October…...Under 9 - Under 19
